How To Maintain Body Weight

At times, losing weight can be easy but maintaining it can be a lot more challenging. Below are some of the simplest ways that you can adopt in your everyday lives to keep control of your fluctuating weight:

1) Stop Overeating

If you are used to eating all the time, find out the reason behind it. Most people feel hungry as a result of anxiety and stress. If this is the case with you as well, try to keep yourself stress-free as much as possible. Although this isn’t as easy as it sounds, there are a number of relaxation techniques through which you can calm down your hormones. When people are in a low mood or let’s say when women face changes of PMS, they often turn to something (food) that can make them feel good.

2) Keep Yourself Focused

Plan your day. Make note of the time when you will be having your meals. Be punctual when it comes to eating because delaying your breakfast/lunch/dinner schedule affects the functioning of your body and makes you feel more hungry. Your breakfast should always consist of more nutrients as compared to your lunch and dinner. Have a healthy breakfast that is rich in vitamins, proteins and other essential minerals to kick start your day. Proteins do not necessarily mean animal proteins. If you are a vegetarian, you can have protein from plant sources in the form of nuts, fruits, and vegetables.

3) Do Not Overdo It

Losing weight is not about cutting down the intake of your favorite foods but lowering the quantities in which you consume it. Have everything that you like but keep it minimal. Never exceed the number of calories and/or fats that you are supposed to have in a day.

4) Use A Weighing Scale

Keeping a regular check on your body weight will give you a fair idea of how your internal system functions and will help you choose a diet plan accordingly. It will enable you to decide whether you should stick to your weight loss regime or will it need some alteration. At times, there could be a water retain which makes your waistband feel tight on your jeans. A regular weight check will prevent you from such unfortunate scenarios.

5) Exercise Daily

No matter what, you should never skip on your workout. Sweating is the best and the easiest ways to reduce weight and prevent yourself from regaining it. Choose a workout plan which best fits your body type and medical condition. Make it a part of your lifestyle. When it comes to women, a half an hour of exercise every day is recommended by experts.

6) Follow Healthy Habits

If all of the above fails, just go by the moderation method which includes following a strict workout and diet regime on weekdays and giving it a break on weekends. This will be most beneficial to those who are party animals, although anyone of us can take up this routine if it suits your lifestyle and daily needs.

Keep in mind that maintaining your body weight isn’t about pushing your limits or depriving yourself of food, it’s all about making things work in your favor by creating a disciplined order of everyday things along with maintaining a balance between your tongue and your tummy!!
