  • Warm Roasted Nuts: almonds, cashews, pistachio, walnuts, hazelnuts all are good for health when consumed in appropriate quantities. Toss all of them together or a combination of your choice. Add a pinch of black pepper and salt to taste. Roast in the oven for about 10 minutes.

  • Banana Milkshake/Smoothie: Put one ripe banana in a mixer grinder. Add a glass of milk. Two teaspoons of sugar and 2 cubes of ice. Grind well until you get a smooth semi-liquid drink. (tastes best when chilled) (you may even replace banana with fruits like chikoo, mango, papaya, apple or dry fruits)

  • Cheese: Winter is the best season to consume high-calorie foods without worrying about digestion problems. Add it to any recipe and discover a mouth-watering dish. May it be noodles or omelets, cheese can be had with anything. Some people even like to have plain cheese cubes/slices.

  • Potato Fries: This snack can be had throughout the year but somehow it tastes much better when had during these chilly months of the year. Cut 2-3 large or medium sized potatoes into long strips or thick wedges. Mix with garlic powder, chili powder, onion powder, a pinch of black pepper powder and salt to taste. Coat with oil or butter and place in a baking sheet. Preheat oven to 450 degrees F (230 degrees C). Bake for 45 minutes in the preheated oven. Serve hot! (If you are a cheese lover, add a cup of shredded Parmesan cheese to the mixture)

  • Watermelon: Cut into square shaped pieces. Put it in a container and store in the refrigerator. Have it whenever you want. For a tangy flavor, you can sprinkle 2-3 drops of fresh lime juice before consuming.
