World Toilet Day

Awareness of Swachh Bharat Abhiyan

As you all know today is the World Toilet Day and on this day we would like to remind all the Indian residents of one of the great steps taken by the Indian Government which is called “Swachh Bharat Abhiyan.”

The Prime Minister of India “Sh.Narendra Modi” launched this campaign on 2nd October, 2014, with two Sub-Missions, the Swachh Bharat Mission (Gramin) and the Swachh Bharat Mission (Urban), which aims to achieve Swachh Bharat by 2019, as a fitting tribute to the 150th Birth Anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi.

One of the very important goal of this campaign is to provide clean toilets for the benefit of common public so that people do not have to defecate in open. Defecating in open will harm both you and your surroundings. You might get skin and stomach infections. And this may further make you vulnerable and open to other diseases. Along with this, the surroundings also get dirty and infected which will in turn affect the people who are around as well.

Swachh Bharat Abhiyan has been a great move, in order to spread awareness regarding the cleanliness and health concerns which have been troubling the people of this country for a really long time. There has been a huge development especially in rural areas where people are habitual of excreting in open.

The toilet coverage has gone from 19.6% in 2011 to 52.9% in 2016 in Rajasthan and this has happened with the effort of both the government and the public.

Sanitation has always been a big issue in India, but if a step is taken forward to make things better then the result will also be visible.

We at GoNirog Healthcare wish and hope that you all will take care of your surroundings and also keep an eye in your own home as well because “a walk is only worth it if the very first step is taken by yourself.”

Let’s make this absolutely beneficial campaign or we should say “mission” a success and prove to the world that India can win over all the hindrances that come in the way of its development.
